Podoscypha multizonata (B. & Br.) Pat. syn. Thelephora multizonata B. & Br. Büscheliger Warzenpilz Zoned Rosette. Fruit body 5–20cm across, rosette-like, comprising numerous thin, leathery, erect lobes which are flesh-coloured to rich brown zoned with darker bands, arising from a stout common base. Flesh tough and leathery. Spore-bearing surface pale brown to greyish. Spores white, broadly elliptic to subglobose, 4.5–6.5 x 4–5um. Gloeocystidia present in the hymenium as elongated, undulating worm-like bodies with swollen base and refractive contents. Hyphal structure dimitic, generative hyphae with clamp-connections. Habitat on the ground in deciduous woods. Season early autumn to early winter. Rare. Not edible. Found In Europe.
